This dedicated 65+ acre native prairie reserve is reserved exclusively for your use. It is not open to the public and you will be completely alone in nature for up to 7 days. This land was previously used for hay and oil production, but has never been plowed. Its been allowed to return to it’s native state for the benefit of those needing to “get away from it all”. Your only neighbors on this rolling landscape are native grasses, wildflowers and wildlife. Explore the full extent of this sanctuary with 3.5 miles of walking trails that wind through the preserve. It features several ponds that support wildlife. Stop along the way to meditate, nap, listen, in complete privacy. Bring the books you’ve been meaning to read, or the one you’ve been meaning to write. It’s an opportunity to bask in the extraordinary beauty of nature: watch day turn to night, enjoy unforgettable stargazing under some of the darkest skies in the region. Unplug your devices and reconnect with yourself, your loved ones, and the quiet rhythm of the natural world.

Overnight guests and can stay a new “Couple’s Coach” featuring a hilltop view of the countryside, overhead cover for shade, a large covered deck, all placed deep withing the reserve. It features shore power electric, wi-fi, sewer connection and ample water supply for a weeks stay. Think of it as “Boondocking” but with all the convinces. The camper is well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals.
